Loving my Father @ the CC Men's Conference

10/24/2009 Loving My Earthly Father

Today was nothing short of amazing ! I met up w/ my brother Roman, my dad my uncles Michael and Steven and Jacob at the CC Men's Conference at the Anaheim Convention Center. It consisted of CC pastors sharing on spiritual warfare w/ multiple quotes from Ephesians. Some of my favorite were Pancho Juarez and Raul Reis. These shared how we as men need to step up and recognize the fight for our souls, families and the world. I was encouraged to cont to overcome and dig into Gods word daily for guidance.
As great as the mssg was the best part was hanging out with my family specially my older brother Roman and my dad. I could not believe my eyes when I saw my dad there! That was the 1st miracle of many. The second that he stayed and listened although my bro picked him up intentionally so he wouldn't leave and the best miracle; me and my brother loving on my father. His heart was softened I believe by the environment of the HS. At first he was real quite and reserved but as the day progressed he softened up and joked with all of us. I was so joyful just to be in the presence of our loving Father Jesus Christ with my father and brother. One of the best parts came when after Greg Laurie gave a gospel mssg and asked men to come receive Christ. He quoted:
" If you confess Me before men I will confess you before my Father but if you deny Me before men I will deny you before my Father" My heart was pounding while he gave the invitation and I felt the directing of the HS as my heart pounded faster and faster... I had tears in my eyes longing for my dad to make a stand. I looked over and saw my brothers eyes closed in prayer and I knew he was praying for my pops so I leaned over and said " Dad if you want to go up I will go with you" he said no hesitating and said he already did so I asked "if you die today are you sure you will go to heaven" he hesitated again so I finally said "dad your a smart man so I know you would not let this opportunity go bye as you could die today so why don't you make a commitment today and be sure" he said "I have before". I don't think my dad has a personal relationship with JC by his life. I was so glad to have this dialogue with my dad because I believe he has heard it many times but never challenged, especially by his son. I also felt the HS prompting me.
Raul Reis closed out of Daniel and wept almost the whole time as he was led by the HS. At the
end he asked all of us to kneel to our knees and repent. My dad got on his knees too! While we were on our knees I heard my uncle Michael and Steven crying and my heart was glad that the HS was doing a work in their hearts. Thru the HS they were able to get past the small talk and connect with JC. This was sweet.
A thousand words cannot express how sweet is was to be worshiping with my brother Roman
and my dad right next to us even if he didn't understand what was happening I know he exp God's love. It is crazy how inside every man there is a deep desire to know his father and to long for his acceptance. Tonight I pray I recognize God's already accepted me into the Beloved as His son thru adoption.
Lord I thank you for the sweet opp to love my father, laugh with him and love on him! I will continue to pray that the words he heard would go so deep into his heart that he would have dreams of God and he would know that he can be set free from his addictions.
Dad I love you even if I did not say it and "Daddy" thank you for loving me so I can love my father the way you love him... UNCONDITIONALLY.

So by the time you read this I will have landed in Mazaztlan, Mexico, taken off my stretchy pants, (Lord willing)and will have been bitten by at least two mosqitos and will be digging deep as I lead a team of leaders thru the small coastal fishing village of Cuiliacan, Mexico. How exciting does that sound?!
Ever heard of the movie the Bucket List? Well it is a movie about two guys who have less than a year to live who start living like there was no tomorrow. Well I am doing the same thing. It makes you wonder... what am I living for, how will I be remembered and what was I created for? I know that I have answered the call as my Savior Jesus Christ whispers " Follow Me" as I travel to the ends of the earth (includes TJ) and embark on yet another adventure with six adventures and The Rider on a White Horse as my co-pilot.
